The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative enhances child care affordability for families by offering funding to eligible, licensed child care providers to reduce and stabilize monthly child care fees.

Families do not need to apply. Providers opt in to receive funding when they apply for Child Care Operating Funding.

Payment Policy

- Monthly fees are payable via direct e-transfer and or cash/cheque.

- A full deposit of the monthly fee will be applied and held for the last month of your child's completion from Meraki ELC.

- Parents/guardians are to give a notice of 2 months, (on the first of the month, 60 days), written withdrawal of their child. The monthly deposit fee will be kept if failure to do so.

- In the case of a family who may qualify for child care subsidy, the authorization and claim from the Child Care Subsidy Centre in Victoria confirming Authorization for Child Care Subsidy must be received by the society BEFORE the child will be enrolled.

- At the end of each month a list of unpaid fees and outstanding subsidy claims will be collected.

- A $25.00 NSF charge is applied at the time of a returned cheque.

- All outstanding/remaining balances are to be paid by the end of each month

- After you have signed up, there is a minimum stay of three months.

NOTE: Enrolment includes a completed registration form, a registration fee ($200), the first monthly fee entrance and a monthly deposit fee for the child's completion of the program. The monthly deposit fee will be held for the child's last month's exit of Meraki as a security deposit. This fee will be used for the child's last month or exit of program. In case parent's fail to give Meraki a 60 day notice exit of program,(from the first day of month to the last day of month), Meraki will keep this fee. This also includes the possibility of the child exiting mid-month. (Fees will be held and no refunds will be issued.)

- There will be a late charge of a dollar a minute and if parents are late for pick up four (4) times, their child may be withdrawn from Meraki Early Learning Centre.
